BANNER PREFAB 25.jpg

From a simple dream and sketch in a notepad to beautiful, practical architecture for life, we believe everything is possible when it comes to cabin design.

Our team of experienced designers, carpenters and project managers are dedicated to creating not only the most eye-catching cabins but also innovative, playful spaces that improve the way people live, work or play. Together under one roof in our Madh Island workshop, we work collaboratively, finessing the build at every stage until the moment it’s placed on site.

Whether you’re looking for a cosy retreat in the woods, a spacious guest house, or a luxurious home away from home, we can bring your vision to life with our custom design and build service.

Bespoke architectural design is where it all began for us. We started Maxim Prefab to make good design available to everyone. Bringing carefully-considered, architectural details to smaller spaces in a completely new way.

Porta Cabin Delivery & Transportation Delivery Details

Your modular home is delivered fully assembled on a trailer that is very similar to a rollback tow truck. We need to make sure, prior to arrival, that we will be able to access the site. Because of that, we have some recommendations that can help be a guideline for modular home cabin delivery. Truck and trailer can at times be as long as 70′ and therefore we need to make sure that there is sufficient room for the driver to get into the site. Your lane needs to be stoned in and free of all mud at the time of delivery. On straight stretches, we need approx. 2′ more space than the cabin’s width, and 14′ of vertical clearance. So check out the cabin styles and floor plans, see the dimensions, and add 2′. On turns in driveways, we need to make sure that there is adequate room to make the turn. The site must be clear of all trees, tree limbs etc, within the area where the modular home cabin needs to enter the site. Our skilled and experienced drivers are very seasoned at navigating the tight spaces many of our homes end up in. We do ask that if you have any questions, about the delivery process, at all that you give us a call to discuss them. Oftentimes we may ask you to send us some pictures of the area that this cabin will be placed. This allows us to go the extra mile and allows us to get a feel for what we are getting into. It will also allow us to ask any questions that we may have prior to arrival. We want to make sure that we do everything we can to make everything go as smoothly as possible for your log cabin delivery, right down to the screw being driven.

Flexibility and mobility

Portable cabins offer the advantage of easy relocation and reconfiguration, allowing you to adapt to changing requirements or move to different sites without the need for significant construction work. This flexibility makes them ideal for construction sites, events, remote locations, and temporary facilities.

Cost-effectiveness

Compared to traditional construction methods, portable cabins offer a more cost-effective solution. The streamlined manufacturing process and efficient use of materials result in reduced costs and shorter project timelines. Additionally, the option to hire portable cabins eliminates the need for long-term financial commitments, making them a flexible and economical choice.

Our Work Process

Our process has been built through trial and error throughout the years, and has proven to be the most efficient and effective as it is illustrated below:

Initial Consultation

Our process starts with an initial consultation about your idea, the details around it such as type of house, design, size, your budget etc and setting up a follow up on-sit meeting.

On-Site Meeting

Once we arrive on the site where the modular house is going to be assembled, we go through the details of the order again and collect all the information that we need about the project, as well as the exact measurements of the space, as we would need to prepare the place for the foundation for the modular house.

Getting the quote

Once we have collected all the information during our on-site meeting, we create and send you an official quote, along with the service agreement that you can go through and discuss with us any questions you might have - although we are very confident that there wouldn’t be any, as we have been doing this for a long time.

Placing the order

Once you accept your quote and sign the service agreement, we place the order for your modular house and our team gets to work with its production.

Preparing the foundation

During the manufacturing process of the modular house, we come to the site again and prepare the ground for the foundation, as well as install it, in order for it to be ready for when the modular house is delivered.

Getting your modular house delivered and assembled

Once your modular house is ready, we deliver it directly to your chosen address and assemble it on-site on a date that’s convenient for you.

That’s all!

That is the entire process - it’s as simple as that for you, we take care of all the hard work.
